1. Portraits
Here one can search for portraits depicting August Hermann Francke, dating from the eighteenth century to the present. Oil paintings and graphic portraits originate from the holdings of the Francke Foundations. Please note that the graphic portraits stemming from the Böttichersche Portrait Collection are, after the field label “location information” (Bestandsnachweis), displayed without the indicator “Library of the Francke Foundations” (BFSt). Whenever pictures of portraits originate from other collections, the field label “location of the original” (Standort des Originals) identifies the institution which preserves them. We are indebted to the respective museums for forwarding the Francke portraits included in their collections and for allowing them to be published in the Francke Portal.
