Am 04.11.1744 in Kopenhagen als Missionar ordiniert. Am 29.03.1745 mit Johann Christian Breithaupt Abreise von London. Nach längerem, krankheitsbedingten Aufenthalt in Batavia am 11.08.1746 Ankunft in Tranquebar, dort in der tamilischen Gemeinde tätig. Am 05.03.1761 Heirat mit Anna Dorothea Obuch.
