It is unnecessary to compare the Hinds with the white men as regards trathfdness. Even children know that this country has been ruined by lying, and that the white gentle­men do not tell les. Have vou ever inguired how it 1s that the people of this country are so given to lying vt can­not surely be sald that it is owing to the heat of the am; neither ean be said that it Is owing to the dark­ness of the people's complexions, for lying has its seat not in the skin, but in the mind. The reason why the practice has so inereased is this, the people have given themselves to the worship of eods that are not, and thus they have learned to sav the things that are not.

The white men on the other hand, being worshippers of the true God and having read and heard about the excellent example of Christ from their vouth up, at home, in school, and in church, are incited to hinitate that good example.
