November 1747 Informator an der Lateinischen Schule Halle, Waisenpräzeptor. Februar 1749 Informator am Pädagogium Halle. Juli 1749 Ruf als Missionar nach Tranquebar. Ordination am 17.09.1749 in Kopenhagen. Danach Ausreise gemeinsam mit den Missionaren Christian Friedrich Schwartz und David Poltzenhagen. Am 17.07.1750 Ankunft in Cuddalore. Nach Aufenthalt in Tranquebar seit Dezember 1750 Missionar in Cuddalore. 1751 Heirat mit Elisabeth Hüttemann. Am 16.02.1776 zweite Heirat mit Francoise de Marchis.
